Trustwave Security Alert: Adobe Acrobat Reader Vulnerabilities (http://trustwave.com)

As Adobe Systems Incorporated and various news outlets have reported, two new vulnerabilities in the Adobe Acrobat Reader application can be exploited to allow a malicious user to crash the application or take control of the system.

Adobe expects to release a patch on May 12, 2009. In the meantime, they’re recommending that users of the application disable JavaScript to prevent attackers from exploiting these vulnerabilities.
