IT Firm Moves To Shrewsbury, Triples Space | Worcester Business Journal

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Swiftec IT has moved from Northborough to Shrewsbury, tripling its space.

The company, which acquired SK Technologies Inc. of Northborough early this year, said it simply outgrew its 800-square-foot Northborough headquarters.

Swiftec’s new, 2,500-square-foot location at 745 Main St. in Shrewsbury is being renovated, and work is expected to be complete by the end of the month, Adam Winter, the company’s president, said in an e-mail.

Winter, as CMF Ventures LLC, bought the Shrewsbury building in September for $295,000 according to county land records.

Winter said the company currently employs six people and expects to add two more by the end of the year.

Swiftec is an IT company that provides computer and network support services to small- and mid-size businesses in the MetroWest region. It was founded by Winter, a Clark University MBA.
